Pilot announces new partner appointment

Pilot Partners is delighted to announce a key Partner appointment, with the promotion of Cameron Woodcroft, effective 1 July 2023.

Cameron Woodcroft’s promotion to Partner will make Pilot a thirteen partner strong firm, and will support its continued growth and help maintain Pilot’s position as the largest independent Accounting firm in Queensland.

The promotion comes fourteen years after Cameron began with the firm.

Managing Partner Brian McDonald said that Cameron has become an integral member of Pilot Partners since beginning his career at the firm in 2009 as a Graduate, then advancing to Manager and Associate Director with his promotion reaffirming Pilot’s position as Queensland’s premier accounting firm.

“This internal appointment reflects our commitment to encouraging and fostering professional development and showcases the high calibre of people progressing through our firm which has more than 80 accounting and support staff,” said Mr McDonald.

“Cameron’s point of difference is that he is an out-of-the-box thinker, spanning multiple service areas with experience in a range of industries including Retail, Property, Energy, Transport & Logistics, Manufacturing and Start-ups,”.

Described by his colleagues as a ‘disruptor’ and ‘change facilitator’ Cameron revels in being a problem solver, no matter the challenge.

His experience in helping businesses and their owners navigate complex business, financial and regulatory challenges makes him a great fit to join the leadership team within the Forensic and Corporate Advisory teams, who assist with informing corporate clients on restructuring, change management and general consulting services.

Highly-skilled in outsourced CFO services, business exit planning, risk management, and strategy implementation, Cameron said that he was thrilled to embark on this new chapter as the next Partner at Pilot.

“I have grown up professionally here and am eagerly anticipating bringing my passion to the work that I do with referrers, clients and staff,” said Cameron.

“My fellow partners have helped guide me throughout my career at Pilot, and I have enjoyed the opportunities that I’ve been given to engage in diverse work that utilises my problem-solving capabilities, including recently becoming a Registered Liquidator”.
